DISCOVER THE ISLAND – DISCOVER THE ARTIST
Sharon Craig is a native Prince Edward Islander. She grew up in Hampton, the oldest of 3 daughters of village storekeepers, Charlie and Audrey Dunsford.
Her childhood experiences of summers at the beach, many hours enjoying farm experiences and traditional “Sunday drives” instilled a deep love and appreciation of our beautiful Island.
Early training in sewing and knitting was a stepping stone to becoming a stained glass artisan. Painting seemed like a natural progression and has become an important part of her life.
Married to Lester Craig and living in North Tryon, on their 6th generation family farm, Sharon is a busy mother and grandmother. She works with special needs children in the school system and continues to paint and learn.
Past instructors in her artistic journey have included LiliAnne Webster, Jim Stedman, Maurice Bernard, and Lise Genova.
